  • James Cobb, Managing Attorney

    James was born in West Tennessee to an immigrant mother from Honduras and a hard-working father from Tennessee. He was raised in Fairview, Tennessee.


    James went to Austin Peay State University and received a bachelor’s degree in Political Science. After an 8-year mortgage banking career involving commercial/residential lending, and annuity wholesaling, he decided it was time for a change.


    James went back to school to pursue a law degree at the University of Memphis, Cecil C. Humphreys School of Law. There he was able to serve in many capacities including providing over 350 student pro bono hours helping the indigent community in Memphis access justice. He was able to clerk for a Shelby County Circuit Court Judge and for Judge David S. Kennedy, Chief Bankruptcy Judge for the Western District of Tennessee. His broad experiences were capped off with an opportunity to work with the U.S. Attorney’s office and he was one of the first students in the nation to make an appearance in federal court under a new appearance rule.


    He is an active member of the American, Tennessee, and Sumner County Bar Associations. James has his certification as a Rule 31 Mediator in TN. He is the current vice-chair of the Madison - Rivergate Area Chamber of Commerce. James Is Licensed to practice law in Alabama as well.


    James is the father of four amazing children, three daughters and one son, and husband to a beautiful wife.


    He enjoys spending time with his family and cheering for his beloved Memphis Tigers, Memphis Grizzlies, and Chicago Cubs.

  • Abigail Mabry, Immigration Attorney

    Abby was born and raised in Millington, Tennessee, a suburb of Memphis. She attended Austin Peay State University on a softball scholarship and received a bachelor's degree in public relations. She went on to receive a master’s degree from Austin Peay in corporate communications.


    Abby attended law school at the University of Memphis Cecil C. Humphreys School of Law. Abby was involved in many activities and organizations at Memphis Law and was privileged to be a member of the University of Memphis Law Review. She also served in the Student Bar Association and the Christian Legal Society. In her third year of law school, Abby participated in the Housing Adjudication Clinic, where she served as an administrative adjudicator regarding disputes in housing vouchers.


    After graduating from law school, Abby accepted a position with an immigration law firm in Memphis, Tennessee, where she worked for almost 4 years. Abby gained extensive experience in removal defense in immigration court as well as representation of immigrants and families before U.S Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS) and Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE). Abby is passionate about helping those in need and assisting the immigrant community in navigating the complex immigration legal system.


    She is an active member of the Tennessee Bar Association and the American Immigration Lawyers Association.


    Abby is very involved in her church, enjoys spending time with her family in Memphis, playing softball, and cheering for the Atlanta Braves.

  • Christie E. White, General Practice Attorney

    Christie was born in Owensboro, Kentucky to a mother from Lawrenceburg, Tennessee, and a father from Lewisport, Kentucky. She was raised in Lewisport, Kentucky.


    Christie went to the University of Kentucky and received a bachelor’s degree in English. During her senior year at UK, she decided she was going to continue her education after graduation and go to law school.


    Christie went to pursue a law degree at the Valparaiso University School of Law in Valparaiso, Indiana. There she was able to provide over 350 hours of student pro bono hours helping surrounding communities find access to justice. She was also the secretary of the Women Law Student Association where she was able to further serve the community through charity events, fundraisers, and many other ways. She received a wide range of experience through interning for an Administrative Law Judge in Indianapolis, Indiana, as well as for various attorneys working for the Department of Child Services in Gary, Indiana. She topped off her vast experiences when she was accepted into the Domestic Violence Legal Clinic, where she represented real clients in front of various Judges under attorney supervision.


    She moved to Middle Tennessee after graduating from law school to be closer to her family, who she has in both Tennessee and Kentucky.


    She is a member of the Tennessee Bar Association and the American Bar Association.


    She enjoys spending time with her family and friends and cheering for her beloved Kentucky Wildcats.

    I moved here to Tennessee from the Washington, D.C., area. I have over 10 years of experience working as a paralegal, mostly in Immigration. I am currently working on my undergraduate degree in Criminal Justice at Walden University. I have admiration for going to law school to be a Practicing Litigation Attorney. I always considered Immigration to be my passion, but I would like to venture out into Litigation.

  • Andrew Triplett , General Practice Attorney

     Andrew is originally from Hermitage, Tennessee. 

    Andrew attended Birmingham-Southern College where he received a bachelor’s degree in History, minored in Political Science, served on the college Honor Council, and became a two-time SAA Conference Champion in Track and Field specializing in the 400 meter dash and hurdles.

    Andrew also attended the Cumberland School of Law at Samford University in Birmingham, Alabama, where he served on Cumberland’s Honor Court and competed in the school’s Arbitration Competition in 2020. While at Cumberland, Andrew also clerked with multiple civil litigation firms and Special Circuit Court Judge Charles Langham in the Jefferson County Domestic Relations Court. 

    Andrew is a member of the Tennessee Bar Association and Alabama Bar Association.

  • David Goodman, General Practice Attorney

    David is a proud Tennessee native and has enjoyed living and working in all three Grand Divisions of this beautiful state. 

    David studied law at the University of Tennessee, where he served as executive editor of the Tennessee Law Review, editor of The Tennessee Journal of Business Law, and a member of the school’s National Environmental Moot Court team. During that time, he also had the privilege of interning with the District Attorney’s Office of the 10th Judicial District. 

    After law school, David pursued a diverse practice, assisting people from all walks of life manage the myriad challenges that life brings. He has provided legal counsel to the State’s economic development office in its mission to bring high quality jobs to our state’s incredible workforce. He also represented the State in its efforts to ensure Tennessee’s most vulnerable citizens have access to affordable healthcare. In private practice, David represented plaintiffs in a variety of civil disputes, obtaining millions of dollars in permanent disability benefits for injured workers. His focus on creating problem solving and strategic representation continues to drive his work at Cobb Law Group.

    David is an active member of the Tennessee Bar Association and the Tennessee Trial Lawyers Association.

    When he isn’t working to advance his clients’ interests, David is likely to be found exploring state parks with friends and family, soaking up the amazing diversity of live music in Tennessee, or reading a good book on a dangerously comfortable couch.

  • Bailey Jones Immigration Attorney

    Bailey is a Nashville native who was born, raised, and attended school in the greater Nashville area.


    Bailey attended the University of Mississippi for undergrad, where she received her bachelor’s degree in International Relations and Spanish. Her thesis work while in undergrad was centered on global immigration policy. As a part of her undergraduate program, Bailey additionally attended the University of Deusto in Bilbao, Spain.


    Bailey went on to receive her Juris Doctor from Loyola University Chicago. While in law school, Bailey immediately began work clerking for an immigration firm in the Chicago area. She also worked as a bilingual student attorney for Loyola’s Community Law and Employment Arbitration clinics, where she served underprivileged members of the community by providing free legal representation as a licensed student-attorney. There, her work primarily focused on children’s rights and discrimination-based cases. 


    After graduating from law school, Bailey was licensed in the State of Illinois and continued to practice in the field of immigration in Chicago. During the pandemic, she decided it was time to return Nashville to be with her family and to continue her work in the community she has always considered home.


    Bailey is passionate about immigrant rights and has dedicated her career to helping families stay together, happy and safe in the place they call home. She is fluent in Spanish and specializes in family and humanitarian-based immigration. Bailey is an active member of the American Immigration Lawyer’s Association.


    Outside of work, Bailey enjoys spending time with her friends and family and is an avid fan of the Ole Miss Rebels and Nashville Predators.

  • Elijah Gore Immigration Attorney

    Born and raised in Jackson, Tennessee, Elijah Gore received a prestigious Presidential Scholarship to attend Tennessee State University. There, he immersed himself in the study of Political Science and was an active member of two distinguished organizations: The Great Debate Society and B.L.A.C.K. Inc., or Brothers for Love Achievement Culture and Knowledge.

    Upon completion of his undergraduate degree, Elijah matriculated to Golden Gate University School of Law in San Francisco, California. His law school years were marked by involvement in the Black Law Students Association (BLSA) and a significant contribution to the Women's Employment Rights Clinic. Notably, he authored a comprehensive manual aimed at educating At-Home Care Workers in California about their newly instated rights.

    After earning his Juris Doctor, Elijah ventured into the professional legal arena, eventually specializing in Immigration Law. The practical skills he gained were matched by his fervor to advocate for marginalized communities. He is an active member of the Napier-Looby Bar Association in Nashville, TN, as well as the Tennessee State University Alumni Association.

    Beyond his professional commitments, Elijah has a multifaceted life that includes a penchant for music production. He has successfully produced tracks that have found their way onto albums, amplifying his artistic footprint. Moreover, he volunteers as a youth soccer coach at local schools in Nashville, illuminating his commitment to community development.

    As a person deeply invested in the intricacies of Politics and History, Elijah is ever in pursuit of knowledge and understanding, both as a professional and a community member.

    Ashley was born and raised in Nashville, TN. Her parents are originally from a small town in Indiana. She attended private school from K-8th grade and was voted “most Christ-like” by peers and teachers. She spent her younger years interested in nature and the arts.

    She continued her love for the arts and pursued a degree in Fine Art at Vol. State Comm. College in Gallatin and re-kindled her love for Hispanic culture and Spanish language. She continued her education at Western Kentucky University (WKU) and majored in Spanish, adding a minor in International Business. Ashley graduated from WKU in the fall of 2021 with a Bachelor of Arts and Letters. 

    Outside of work, Ashley loves crafting, animals, cooking, and manicures. Helping people is second nature to her and her goal at Cobb Law Group is to make a difference in the world, starting with the people in her community.

    Pamela Hernandez was born in Mexico City, Mexico and has lived in Memphis, Tennessee since she was 5 years old.  She and her husband, Christian, have been married for 6 years and have a 4-year-old puppy named Max.  Pam has worked as an immigration paralegal for 6 years.  She loves being able to help people work through the complicated immigration process to obtain status so that they can stay with their families in the United States.  In her free time, Pam enjoys spending time with her husband and family, kickboxing, and going to the Shelby Farms dog park with Max.
